Bibilical Perspective-Green Life

Green color is strongly related to fertility, fruitfulness, and God's love for humanity in many ways. And one can see how this color of calmness feels like a blessing amidst the chaos whenever they witness this world full of trees, flowers, birds, and many such incredible creations by our Supreme Creator.

"Green Life with Christian Perspective" refers to the idea of living an environmentally conscious and sustainable lifestyle while integrating Christian values and principles. This approach emphasizes taking care of God's creation and stewardship of the Earth as part of one's religious beliefs.

God looked at everything that He had made, and found it very good.

Gensis 1:31

Our Lord Jesus Christ Exemplifies His Relationship with the Lord God and Humans through Green Creation.

John 15 : 1-7

1I am the real fruit tree. My Father is the One who takes care of the tree.

He takes away from me every branch that does not bear fruit. And he cleans every branch that bears fruit so that it will bear more fruit.

What I said to you has made you clean already.

But you must be in me and I will be in you. The branch cannot bear fruit by itself. It must be joined to the tree. And you cannot do any good thing if you are not joined to me.

I am the fruit tree and you are the branches. I will be in the person who is in me. That person will have a fruitful life. But you can do nothing without me.

If any person is not in me, he is cut off like a branch and dies. People gather the dry branches and throw them into the fire to be burned.

If you are in me and obey me, you may ask me for anything you want and I will give it to you.

The Biblical perspective of green life emphasizes the interconnectedness of all life, the recognition of God's ownership over creation, and the responsibility to protect and preserve the Earth for future generations. This approach aligns with the idea of living a "green life" from a Christian perspective, where environmental consciousness and sustainable practices are seen as integral to one's faith and values.

Creation care, from a biblical perspective, refers to the responsible and ethical stewardship of the natural world that God has created. This concept is grounded in the belief that humans have a God-given responsibility to care for and manage the earth and its resources in a way that reflects God's character, wisdom, and love for all of His creation.

Genesis 1:28

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.'” This verse is often interpreted as a call to stewardship and responsible dominion rather than exploitation or reckless destruction.

Genesis 2:15

“The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” This verse highlights humanity’s role as caretakers of the Garden of Eden, representing the broader responsibility to care for the entire earth.

Psalm 104

This psalm celebrates God’s creation, highlighting His wisdom and care in forming the natural world. It emphasizes God’s provision for all living creatures and portrays nature as a reflection of God’s glory.

Proverbs 12:10

“The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.” This verse underscores the ethical treatment of animals and the moral obligation to care for them

Romans 8:19-22

“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed… the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.” These verses highlight the interconnectedness of humanity and the rest of creation and suggest that the redemption of humanity will also impact the natural world.

Revelation 11:18

“The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small—and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” This verse implies that those who harm or destroy the earth will ultimately face judgment.

Incorporating creation care into one's faith and lifestyle can involve various actions, such as sustainable resource management, responsible consumption, conservation efforts, and advocating for environmental justice. This perspective recognizes that the earth is a gift from God and that humans have a moral duty to act as faithful stewards, nurturing and protecting the planet for current and future generations.
